Richard Lee “Dick” Loughary was born Dec 2,1949 in Beardstown, IL to the late Earl Eugene Loughary and Mary Helen Ketner. He was a 1969 graduate from Beardstown High School, lettering in track, baseball, football and basketball. He was also an avid bowler and excellent pool player. After high school, he married Dottie Landes with whom he shared a son. In 1970, Dick joined the Army and served a term in Vietnam where his main focus was in communications.
Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime.
